I'm Back...

Wow. What a trip... westcoast to eastcoast... it was a lot of fun. For my NY pics click here and for my LA pics click here.

So much to say, so many stories... but I'll try and hit the main points...

The BumSquad DJ'z retreat in LA was great... got to hang with my boy Latin Prince, and met his friend Philly from Croatia. good peoples. Also hung around the Universal office down in Santa Monica... shouts to Dreezy and Justin who hold it down for me when I'm there. Oh yeah, they alway laugh cuz I get excited to raid their corporate fridge which is stocked with cherry coke and other drinks for their staff and guests. pretty nice eh?

Well the highlights of the LA trip were meeting Nicole from the Pussy Cat Dolls, Common, the yacht party sponsored by Interscope Records, seeing all the crew from the Squad, meeting Scott Storch, bumping into the Roc down in Malibu, meeting Papoose, and hanging with my boy Ru who took me to one of his studio sessions while I was in town. Good looking out...

Oh yeah, we also got to see an exclusive early preview of Rush Hour 3... pretty funny.. Chris Tucker stole the show in my opinion..

As for NY, well... it was my first time, and it was pretty much exactly what I was hoping for.. got to meet alot of very cool people, producers from around the world, Felisha from Dynamic Producer, my boy DJ Swivel who took me to a studio session in the Desert Storm offices where he engineers for the likes of Fabolous, etc.. also met Just Blaze, who was a really cool, humble cat despite all his major success... and of course checked out all the major tourist sites, which didn't disappoint ... the empire state building, central park, WTC area, Times Square, Apollo Theatre, wall street, fifth avenue, etc.

Also shouts to Chris at Boilin Pot Entertainment for taking me around Harlem and inviting me to a video shoot out there. I'm looking fwd to seeing it and will post it up when it's done for y'all to see. I was kinda tipsy off the grey goose, so hopefully I'm not acting too much a fool..haha

Oh yeah, I'm a big Seinfeld junkie so I also checked out the diner and the soup kitchen which they based theirs on in the show.

However, the main highlight was getting a round of applause at the conference I was at when they played a mountain dew commercial I scored for one of the panels. It feels good when people acknowledge your work like that. Also, having the A&R for Ludacris' label DTP saying he was feeling my tracks was good too.

Other than that, it's back to the grind. also, this week check out the new Remix for Sean Kingston feat Pitbull produced by yours truly. You can read about it and listen to it here from the good folks over at Hip Hop Ruckus: http://hiphopruckus.blogspot.com/2007/08/remix-sean-kingston-beautiful-girls.html

All for now...
